Where it all began…
In his backyard 19 years ago in Heidedal, Bloemfontein Dirty Shakers was born. The name ‘Dirty’ originated from the first song the group performed by sung by Christina Aguilera. ‘Shake'(ers) was a dance style the group mastered in 2002.
In 2012 the group changed to “HOUSE OF DIRTY SHAKERS” as they expanded into a brand. The groups rehearsals now take place at MDG Performing Arts Academy and is trading as an entity on its own, under the management of Zane Muller. Each year the group auditions new members who show interest and passion for arts to embark with on the journey as part of House of Dirty Shakers for one year. These members are developed to be fully confident about their passion and teach others. We aim to conquer the Free State province then later expand throughout South Africa. We draw inspiration from different elements of music and choreography so everyone can find comfort and fun in our performances

THE CREATIVE MIND BEHIND THE HOUSE

After 19 years Zane is the only original cast member in the House, and continues to stage real heart warming dance pieces and production, along with the help of his team.
He started dancing at the age of 8 years and was a pro at choreographing dance pieces for dance groups in his community, also recieving awards for Best Revue Dancer in his primary and secondary school. He later got a job to help support his dreams.
In 2006 the group won its first competition at the Mzansi Magic Market Day. later in 2010 the group was contracted to perform at the FIFA Fan Park which marks as the biggest highlight of the groups career. Zane then resigned from his job and involves himself in numerous projects like the Vrystaat Arts Festival, Newton Primary School celebration of their 126 years of excellence,
National Arts Festival, Macufe Arts Festival, Rose Festival, OR Tambo 100 year celebration and many more as a fulltime artist. And has since been featured by various local newspapers and radio stations as well as a review from SABC news.
The House of Dirty Shakers was officially registered as a company in August 2016, Muller as the Director of the company. His lifelong dream is to have his own fully equipped dance studio where he can create magic, train people and share the space with those struggling.
